I can't believe it, it's already been a year since we moved to Victor! I wanted to take a picture of the kids in front of this sign last year, but I didn't get it done quickly enough and before I knew it, winter had arrived. Nevertheless, we have one this year and from looking back at pictures, the kids have grown so much. It's been an amazing year filled with many exciting and eventful changes. We're so grateful for the support we've had from new friends here in the Valley and greatly appreciate those that have kept in touch and come to visit. It's always comforting to see old friends! As always, Jason has been working like a dog. The house is complete, but now he's working on the yard. We're hoping we'll actually have grass before too long. Regardless, the kids love playing in the dirt and weeds and are adjusting great to living in the country.
We've learned a lot over the past year. Jason and I are both working hard to overcome our need to plan and orchestrate every aspect of our lives. Picking up and moving was a big first step for us. It's been a huge blessing and each day truly continues to be a new adventure for our family.
Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.
