Eclipse Fun!

The Brophy's came for a great visit and it just happened to fall on the day Eclipse was released. We opted out of the midnight showing and went Wednesday night. We left to get to Pierre's a bit early, just in case it was busy (The midnight showing did in fact sell out).

Heidi and I heaing to the theater.

Heidi just happened to have 4 shirts (by mistake actually), but we thought it would be funny to have the guys slip the extras on for a picture. Jason added some 'extras' of his own.

Pierre's. After seeing the size of the theater, Heidi said she could understand why it sold out the night before. Hey, it may be small, but we love it! We used to have to drive to Jackson, Rexburg, or Idaho Falls to see a show. Now we have a one screen theater right in the middle of Victor! We're moving up in the world. We were quite shocked though that for the small size of the audience, they were quite vocal throughout the show. All in all it was definitely a night worth remembering. I'm glad these movies give us one more excuse to get togther. Hmm, when is Breaking Dawn 1 going to be released?

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We took a couple days to drive down to Monterey. The kids are fascinated with fish and sea life and absolutely loved the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
They enjoyed it so much we ended up going back a 2nd day.
They couldn't get enough of the touch pools where they had a real 'hand's on' experience.
Tatum and I in front of one of the HUGE tanks. They loved it when a diver entered the tank to feed the fish.

So happy to be a Mom!

Tatum's Preschool had a Moms & Muffins day this week. It was so fun to go to her school and to see her excitement as she gave me the bath salts she had made for me.
This morning I awoke to breakfast in bed with these cute letters . . .

I'm so blessed to be a mother to these 3 amazing children.

In Memory of Grandma

Evelyn Jane Diesen
December 3, 1917-October 15, 2008
Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death.

I was very blessed to have such an amazing Grandma and have so many wonderful memories to hold onto. I traveled to California to go to her funeral services and was reminded how truly important family is and how grateful I am for my extended family. I really enjoyed hearing stories about Grandma and reliving childhood memories. During my Mom's recent visit with us, we even started playing Yahtzee with my kids. There aren't many visits with Grandma when a good game of Yahtzee wasn't part of the day. I know she would be proud to pass the torch.

Sadly we all had to say goodbye to our dear Grandma. She is dearly loved and will truly be missed.

I have a very talented friend in California that makes jewelery. I contacted her and let her know of my Grandma's passing and asked her if she could make something for my Mom. This is what she did. A necklace with my Grandma's picture for my Mom and a matching bracelet to be buried with my Grandma. I so appreciate her hard work and thoughtfulness!
