I've come to the realization that this wouldn't truly be our "family" blog if I didn't include something about that which has occupied my husbands every thought and action for the last several weeks.
Those of you that have husbands with certain compulsions, addictions or vices that consume their every waking moment will be able to relate well. At any rate, I've been impressed with Jason's tenacity to get up at the crack of dawn day after day, then return night after night in search of the elusive trophy. I would have given up long ago. Each time he came home, we'd hope (for both his sake and ours), that he had caught his moose as the kids say. Each time, the answer was a resounding no.
Finally, just last night the phone rang and we received the news. . . He had gotten a moose. The kids were dancing and screaming and cheering. I can't remeber when I've seen such exuberance from a phone call. The excitement was HUGE and the girls were begging to stay up to see Dad's moose. I can definitely say that the whole family shared in the joy he felt.
But alas, the joy is short lived. . .
Deer Season opens tomorrow!!

Jason and his 2nd Moose!
