Kickin it on the deck!

We can finally see our grass around our house. What a great day just enjoying the sun on our back deck and playing with the baby chicks. Couldn't hurt to try to find a few bugs too.

Easter Sunday

I had to get some pictures of the kiddos all ready for church on Easter Sunday. They were in a pretty silly mood which made it fun to take pictures. Usually I have to beg to get them to hold still long enough for one torturous picture.
I love this picture.

Silly poses.

Easter Morning. . .

Sleepy kiddos checking out their Easter Baskets.

The Easter Bunny brought new swim goggles for everyone.
Might as well give them a try.

We made Resurrection Rolls for breakfast.

the annual EASTER egg hunt

Every year we refill our 200+ plastic eggs and hie them all throughout the house (there is still snow outside). Then the kids set off to find them. We usually continue to find eggs in random place for weeks after. The kids have actually decided that they like to fill all the eggs, so it's pretty easy for me anymore. This year the Bagley's joined us for the fun.

Volleyball

Cambrie played club volleyball for the first time this year and found a new love.

I think her favorite part was that her jersey had her name on it!

Getting ready to serve.

Going for the bump.

Her team getting ready to switch sides.

old friends and good times

Jason has a work project in Utah, so we all headed down with him for a quick trip. While we were there, we were able to catch up with our old neighbors, the Craguns. They even came to our hotel to swim with us.

Kenidee and Cambrie.

Easton and Jake.

our new favorite dessert!

The kids and I worked really hard spring cleaning on the first day of spring break. I told them that I had a surprise for them to thank them for all their help. They were going crazy trying to figure out what their surprise would be, but they never guessed. We headed to O'Rourkes for their Schnookie Dessert. This is hands down, our new favorite. It is delish! We actually ordered one and it was gone so quickly, we ordered a second. I highly recommend you try one.

more baby chicks.

Spring must be getting closer because the chicks are everywhere. The kids have talked me into letting them each get a new baby chick and they even managed to get a fourth for the whole family. They're pretty convincing. Of course they had to hold them on the way home.

Cambrie named hers Casafras. (I had a hamster named Sasafras when I was younger for my initials SAS, so she changed it to her initials CAS.)

Jake named his Jazz or Ironhide, it changes between the two from day to day.  Obviously a nod to Transformers.

Tatum named her chick Crystal and the family chick is named Butterscotch.
Tatum wanted to take them to school for Sharing Time, but instead we decided to just take a picture that she could share.

flying high . . .

After spending quite a bit of time upstairs together, the kids came down with their new creation. Jason and I were both very impressed with their GIANT paper airplane, complete with pilot, copilot and passengers.
