Christmas Tubing!

Part of the kids gift from "The Big Family" was these awesome snow tubes. We headed over for some tubing fun. Jason took the snowmobile again, so once they rode down, they could get pulled back up the hill. Definitely the only way to tube.

Here is the group. Grandpa stayed home with Jake while he napped.

Cambrie and Tatum. We tried the blue tube early and Tatum would only ride with Cambrie, but this time she was all over going again and again all by herself.

Here are the girls getting pulled back up the hill.

Here is Tater sailing down the hill.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Jason's family joined us for the Christmas holiday. The kids opened their PJ's earlier in the day so were already wearing them when dinner rolled around. We stuck with tradition and had our bigger dinner on Christmas Eve, but this year I started a new tradition which I really liked. The guys were in charge of dinner on Christmas. We had a ham dinner for Christmas Eve and cheeseburgers for Christmas. It was perfect.

Tatum & Jake

Abby & Cambrie

After dinner the we had a live Nativity with the kids. Tatum wanted to be a camel and did a great job of eating and chewing while walking around on her hands and knees. Cambrie also played Christmas Carols on the piano for us. Here are the kids setting out their cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer before heading to bed.

Taking a dip!

While in Sun Valley for the Thanksgiving break, we took a trip to the YMCA for some swimming fun. The kids love this amazing facility. We got there pretty early, and had the whold place to ourselves for the first couple of hours. It was pretty great.
Jake loved playing in the fountains and going down the big slide.

Grandpa and Tatum. She looks just a bit worried.

Cambrie couldn't get enough of the water slide.

Jake's Trip to Grandma's House

Since Grandma was coming back in just a few days, and Jake hadn't stopped asking, "When do I get to go to Grandma's house?" we decided to let Jake go home with her. He was so excited and felt like such a big boy. He helped me pack his backpack and was ready to hit the road.

All Smiles . . .

There were a few tears, but it was actually Tatum. She was so upset that Jake was leaving her. Jake on the other hand just said, "Tatum's whining, huh! I'm not whining though!"

Anti-Cancer Party ~ Woo hoo!

Jason's Mom got the good news that she was in total remission so when she said she was coming to visit for the weekend, we decided to have an Anti-Cancer Party. The kids made decorations. I didn't get pictures with the decorations, but Cambrie drew one that was so cute. It was a picture of a Hospital and Grandma walking away saying, "Bye, bye! I'm all better!"
That night after Grandma arrived we headed to O'Rourkes for a celebration dinner.
Cambrie got a brownie sundae for dessert and wasn't sharing with anyone.

Our Trip to Sun Valley

We decided at the last minute to take a trip over to Sun Valley to see Grandma & Grandpa for a few days. We had so much fun while we were there. A lot of our time was spent at the pool and on bike rides. We headed to the Lodge one day and the kids loved that they could watch the ice skaters practice for the upcoming Ice Show while eating lunch on the terrace. They fed the swans and decided to start a feather collection (Why not? We collect rocks, spoons, snow globes, dolls, leaves, bugs, etc, etc).

The girls loved jumping on the tramp in these big poofy dresses Grandma had!

Grandpa took all the kids to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and of course they wanted to sit on the dinosaur.

Island Park!

We had the opportunity to meet Jason's family in Island Park a couple weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. We played golf, enjoyed lots of swimming, and went to see the Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry at the Playmill which I highly recommend. The kids loved it and even got their pictures taken with some of the stars. Cambrie was serenaded by Billy Ray Dufus and Tatum is with Wynona Jugg! Really, you should go if you have the chance. You won't be disappointed.
