My Jake-Man!

Here is my Jake-Man as he likes to be called. He's getting so big and is so full of life and energy. Here he is on the big slide at Cambrie's school.

Jake on the swings! We've finally convinced him to wear shorts. It was quite the battle though. He is very particular about his clothing. Today he had to wear his tiger sweatshirt and his "cool shoes" as he calls them.

Jake never misses an opportunity to help me bake. Here he is finishing off the filling from homemade Oreo cookies. If he sees me anywhere near the mixer, he's running over pushing his chair up to the counter to help out. He's also always very dirty, as you can see.
Here is Jake and his best buddy Isaac. These two are hilarious together. They are playing with the softball helmets after the coach pitch softball game.

Tatum's Preschool Graduation!

Cambrie's been busy!

Cambrie recently had her piano recital where she played Jumping Jelly Beans.
Here she is with her teacher Miss Paula.
She earned a trophy for meeting her practice goal every week of the year. She was so excited to have her 1st trophy.

Here she is for coach pitch softball.
Her team is sponsored by Jason's work.

Here she is with a big hit!

Here are the chickens . . . Already getting so BIG!

And very hungry!

School Lunch!

Friday we decided to join Cambrie for school lunch. I am so impressed that her school still makes everything from scratch. Tatum loved being one of the big kids and carrying her own tray of food. Jake wasn't so sure. He just kept saying, "Not this one, not this one, not this one" as he pointed to all the different food items. He did eat the fries and drink the chocolate milk though.

I love this picture of Tatum and Jake. I told them to hug each other, but you can see, Jake is hugging himself!

Coach Pitch!

Cambrie had her 1st coach pitch game this week and what a difference a year can make. It is completely different than watching T-ball. I love the picture of her swinging at the ball. If you look closely, her eyes are shut.

So happy to be a Mom!

Tatum's Preschool had a Moms & Muffins day this week. It was so fun to go to her school and to see her excitement as she gave me the bath salts she had made for me.
This morning I awoke to breakfast in bed with these cute letters . . .

I'm so blessed to be a mother to these 3 amazing children.
Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs . . . since the payment is pure love.

Introducing the chicks!

Well, hopefully they are chicks. We still won't know for a bit if we have hens or roosters, but here are a few of them. We had to take a mugshot of each one and hang the picture along with their name in the chicken coop (Cambrie's idea). The kids love having them. They are up at the crack of dawn checking on them. We have 11 total, but I'll spare you all the pictures. Here are just a few of them.

Tatum's 1st T-Ball Game!

Tatum has been chomping at the bit to have her own turn to play T-ball. Well, the time is here, and now she is just not so sure she's ready to be out there. Here she is waiting for her turn to bat.

Here she is getting ready to swing!

Here she is striking a yoga pose - but wait, that's the wrong sport.

Here she is with the "Thumbs up, I'm ready Dad" {but hopefully they don't hit it to her because she's looking at Dad and not at the ball.}

It took a bit to get warmed up, but now she's counting down the days until her next game. Jason is still wondering how he managed to father 2 girls that seem to both be lacking his aggressive and competitive genes?!

You might be a redneck if . . .

. . . the new pets are chickens!

Getting ready for the chicks!

Jason's been working hard building a coop for the chicks we are soon getting, so we thought we would pitch in by decorating the inside.
