More Christmas. . .

Tatum said she just knew that Grandma would get her the horse set that she asked for.  She was immediately setting it up and her new horse trailer was loaded and ready to roll.
Our budding scientist has a kit with all sorts of experiments.

Jake was already asking to go haul wood with his new wheelbarrow from Grandma & Grandpa.

Cambrie made Jake a photo puzzle with a picture of the three kiddos on it.

An ant farm.  I think our house is going to be full of creepy crawlies.

A lady bug habitat too.  I think we'll take these over to Grandma & Grandpa's house to set them up.
Dad opening his gift from Tatum and Jake.
And of course we need a frog habitat to go with the ants & ladybugs.  The kids are in heaven.
It was the year of the Snuggie!  After our friends gave Jason a camo snuggie, the kids couldn't get enough of it, so I decided to make them each their own for their home made gift.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Eve the kids opened their new PJ's. Jake couldn't have been happier to open his Lego Star Wars jammies. I woke up at 6:30am and headed upstairs (the kids had strict orders not to come out of their room until we came up to get them). Tatum was awake but Cambrie and Jake were still out. By the time I came back down stairs, they were awake and jumping on the floor to get our attention. They were so excited as they came down the stairs half asleep. I heard Tater say, "Where did Santa put all our toys?" Then very matter of factly, Cambrie said, "they must be in our stockings." On the sofa there sat their 3 stockings, stuffed full, but nothing else was around them. No sign of any other gifts, just the ones that had already been under the tree. Jason and I thought for sure that the kids would say something else, but nothing! They dug into their stockings and were so happy to find TONS of gum. (They had asked to have Santa fill their stockings with gum, so they would never run out.) There were a few other things in there, the Lego plane Jake had specifically asked for, toothbrushes, the chocolate Santa Cambrie had asked for and of course an orange, but as far as we knew, that was all Santa had brought, but they still couldn't have been happier with their gum.

Luckily Hershey had to go outside, or we might have left for California without seeing what was outside. Cambrie suddenly started screaming and headed outside to find that Santa and his reindeer had delivered a snow machine. Woo hoo!
It was still dark out, and it was covered with ice because it was FREEZING outside, but Tater still jumped right on it. After we finished opening gifts and the sun came up, the all bundled up and headed out. They took turns pulling each other around on the tubes. You could hear them screaming and laughing. It was great. Now we're inside thawing out and playing with other goodies. Santa did good!

Santa Cookies!

Every Christmas Eve we make cookies for Santa. The kids were having a blast, but mainly just liked eating the frosting. Santa ended up with a HUGE plate of cookie, the reindeer also go carrots and special reindeer food. This kids are getting sooo excited for the big guy to come.

Reindeer Application

Tatum brought this home from school the other day. I thought it was just adorable. The things she wrote on her application are so Tater. She will be good to the other reindeer, and help them, and let them play iwht her. What a cutie! I'd hire her in a heartbeat.

Moose Creek

We headed out to Moose Creek the other day with our friends the Bagleys.  They were all so excited to go, but Jake was out before we even made it down our road.  He must've been really tired because we just transferred him into the tube, covered him up, and he was good to go.
We stopped and took a hot cocoa & snack break a bit up the trail.  You can see Tater enjoying a big hunk of snow, her favorite treat.

Me & Jason

Jason hung out with the kiddos while we headed a bit further up the trail.
Once we made it up the hill, the girls tried to ride the tube down, but they weren't moving much.
Cambrie and Tatum loved Cross Country skiing.  We just picked up some new skis for Cambrie and Tatum was able to use Cambrie's old set, so it was the first time on them and they did awesome.
Once Jake woke up he was raring to go.  He pretty much ran the whole way until he ran out of steam, the he rode on Jason's shoulders the rest of the way.  If only we could teach him to pace himself.
Tater was loving the downhill part of the skiing.  I think she's really looking forward to Winter Sports this year.

Santa Letters . . .

Had to post these letters.  I thought Tatum's was just priceless.  She is definitely a phonetic speller.

A Christmas Carol ~ Girl's Night!

I went with the girls and some friends to see A Christmas Carol at Pierre's Playhouse. It's kind of become a tradition, but this year we decided to make it just for the girls. Jason and Jake went to the Teton High Basketball game instead.

It was a great play! Just what we needed to get us in the holiday spirit.

Sledding Party!

Cambrie wanted to have a sledding party for her 9th Birthday, so we had a few friends join us and headed out to Allen's Hill.  Jason used the snow machine to pull them all back up the hill and Hershey chased them down on every run.  We had a few really good wipe outs, but fortunately no injuries.

Cambrie wanted Chili, rolls & brownies with cookie dough frosting.  She was in heaven.
