Christmas Eve the kids opened their new PJ's. Jake couldn't have been happier to open his Lego Star Wars jammies. I woke up at 6:30am and headed upstairs (the kids had strict orders not to come out of their room until we came up to get them). Tatum was awake but Cambrie and Jake were still out. By the time I came back down stairs, they were awake and jumping on the floor to get our attention. They were so excited as they came down the stairs half asleep. I heard Tater say, "Where did Santa put all our toys?" Then very matter of factly, Cambrie said, "they must be in our stockings." On the sofa there sat their 3 stockings, stuffed full, but nothing else was around them. No sign of any other gifts, just the ones that had already been under the tree. Jason and I thought for sure that the kids would say something else, but nothing! They dug into their stockings and were so happy to find TONS of gum. (They had asked to have Santa fill their stockings with gum, so they would never run out.) There were a few other things in there, the Lego plane Jake had specifically asked for, toothbrushes, the chocolate Santa Cambrie had asked for and of course an orange, but as far as we knew, that was all Santa had brought, but they still couldn't have been happier with their gum.

Luckily Hershey had to go outside, or we might have left for California without seeing what was outside. Cambrie suddenly started screaming and headed outside to find that Santa and his reindeer had delivered a snow machine. Woo hoo!
It was still dark out, and it was covered with ice because it was FREEZING outside, but Tater still jumped right on it. After we finished opening gifts and the sun came up, the all bundled up and headed out. They took turns pulling each other around on the tubes. You could hear them screaming and laughing. It was great. Now we're inside thawing out and playing with other goodies. Santa did good!
