And She's Off. . .Sort of

Cambrie just headed off on the bus for her first day of First Grade at Victor Elementary. In true Cambrie form she jumped out of bed when her Tinkerbell alarm clock went off at 6:45am, made her bed, got dressed (she picked the outfit out herself a couple days before), and headed downstairs to practice piano. Jason, Tatum, Jake and I were all still in mine and Jason's bed listening to her practice. I got up and served Cambrie her favorite breakfast (Fruity Pebbles), then did her hair and she was ready for her first day! After feeding our new cat Sally, we headed out so she could catch the bus. After we sent her off we were walking back down the driveway and saw another bus coming down the road. All of the sudden, Jason and I realized we had just put her on the wrong bus. Eeeek! A total rookie parent maneuver. Anyway, we met Jack (Cambrie's actual bus driver) and he said he would make sure she made it to the right school. I'm thoroughly convinced that if we would have just left Cambrie in charge, she probably would have got on the right bus herself. Anyway, we're sad to see her go. We turned around and Jake was on the driveway holding his shoes saying "BYE, BYE!" I think we'll all miss Cambrie being home during the day!
