Big Travellers.

July has been a busy month for our family, and we're finishing it off by heading to Cali to visit Nana & Poppy. The kids are professional travellers at this point. One man commented that Jake did a better job going through security that most adults he's seen attempt it.

Our baby is all grown up . . .

Here is our baby robin. This was the last day she hung out around the nest. Now she mostly hangs by the stream and in our front lawn. What an experience it was to watch her grow.

Golf Camp!

We signed Cambrie up for golf camp this summer at Teton Springs. She loved it and even came home with balls and a water bottle that she had won in little competitions they had. You could either take your own clubs or use theirs. She already had clubs, so she used her own. On the first and second days she was saying how great she did, then on the third day she asked if she could use their clubs next time. I thought this was strange so I questioned her a bit to figure out why she wanted to borrow clubs. After a few different reasons, she finally just said, "My clubs just aren't working." I thought that was pretty cute and am sure she's heard that from her Dad at some point. We've started taking a bucket of balls and hitting them behind the house out into our alfalfa field, kind of our own driving range. The kids think it's pretty fun and especially like when they get to hop on the 4wheeler to go collect all the balls.

Number Four!

My 4th event was the Tin Cup Challenge in Driggs.  Jason and I both ran.  He had the kids with him and did the 5k.  I ran the 10k. We love the Tin Cup.  It is an amazing community event to raise money for the local non-profit organizations.  The kids loved all the fun activities they had after the run.

Swim Lessons in Shoshone.

Aunt Monica lives in Shoshone and while the girls were staying at Grandma's for a few days, she got them into swim lessons at the pool there.  The girls had a great time.  Jake was a little more hesitant, he got in with Aunt Mo, the first day, then hesitantly with Me the second, but would have nothing to do with swim classes.  He did like the shark painted on the fence though.

Wind Caves Hike.

As part of the family reunion we did the hike to the Wind Caves.  Here are the girls starting out.  We have never done this hike before, so we didn't really know what to expect.  It was quite longer than we had anticipated and plenty of uphill, but the kids did surprisingly well and it was a lot of family fun.
Jason, Jason & Tom taking a break.
Cambrie, Abby, Jake, Jason, Jason, Tatum & I stayed together for most of the hike.

Tatum enjoyed picking different flowers but hey, Tatum enjoys everything about life.
Barbara and Jean did the hike too.
 Taking a breather.
 Valerie and I.
 Jake, Jason & Aunt Clarice.
Cambrie like hanging out in this little crevice.

And Tater liked running through the water.
Uncle Ken was the coordinator of the hike.  They stopped at the Monument to tell the story of the Girl's Camp group that was struck by lightning.  Aunt Jean was at Camp at that time, but fortunately she didn't do the hike.
Leave it to Tatum, my little snow eater to be thrilled to find snow in July, and of course, eat it!

Here we are at the Monument.

Schwieder Reunion 2010

Of all places, the Schwieder Reunion ended up being in Victor at the Moose Creek Lodge.  Grandma & Grandpa headed over earlier, then we all made our way to the Lodge.  The kids had a blast playing with all their extended family.

Tate, Jake and Boston were hilarious together.  They spent a lot of time 'bear hunting' or playing ball.
More little kiddos having a blast together.

The girls took a horseback ride at the Lodge.

 and Westergard families.

There was a pool table in the Lodge, Jake and Tatum couldn't get enough.
